Ikea Fyrtur Blinds

Same issue as OP. This bug has not been fixed. Several others also report this in the Norwegian Homey FB forum. Reported to Homey Support and they are apparantly aware of the issue of systematic Ikea Fyrtur disconnection after Homey Pro 2023 restart. Encourage everyone who experience the issue to report directly to support: https://homey.app/no-no/support/

Hopefully we will see a fix soon.

Thanks! Will report it, since I saw this the last week also.

Any solution of fytur not working after Homey Pro 2023 restart?

All we can do is to keep on reporting it in by the link below and hope that they at some point prioritize it: Support | Homey

I also have multiple IKEA blinds (Fyrtur and Tredansen) that lost connection to Homey after the latest update (yesterday). What I found is that pressing the physical “UP” button on the blind triggered a “status update” to Homey. After that, I could control the blinds from Homey again without any problems.

Important: I did not need to re-pair or factory reset the blinds.
Note: There were several hours between the Homey firmware update and pressing the button. It seems the blinds need some time to reconnect, and then a physical status push (via the button) to re-establish communication.

It’s not an ideal solution, but it worked for me so it’s worth trying if you experience the same issue.

For context: I used these blinds earlier with Samsung SmartThings hub for about two years and never had this problem. In fact, SmartThings offered some extra features that I miss in Homey, such as:

  • Battery status (with low-battery alerts)
  • Real-time position updates (down to each percentage)
  • Ability to stop/pause blinds mid-movement
  • Device history/logs (for easier troubleshooting)

Thanks. Aware of this slight workaround and it works here also. Does not really address the bug though. Also, often restarts may happen when not being available to do the physical push up and down etc. People often have many of these (I have 4) and it is beyond inconvenient to have to push these buttons every time Homey restarts due to an update or other restarts. This is a very nasty bug, on curtains that a lot of people own from a famous brand (IKEA), systematically reproduceable and needs to be addressed urgently in my opinion.
