Hey guys, i was wondering. I think it does not work they way i would like, and i dont want to blow up a switch to try it, but i have the folowing.
I installed the hue wall switch on a single button, however i have another button within this wall, that has a dumb bulb on it. Can someone verify it is NOT possible to make the dumb ceiling light go on, and NOT to fry the hue switch?
Still waiting for the hp2023 to arrive, otherwise there must have been an option to do it the way i would want to, (actually i did once already, with a way cheaper KAKU switch).
I have this issue as well, but then when I do not connect any live wire. Basically HOmey sees botch push buttons as the same (button 1). I emailed Homey, they just toss it back to the community. Seems a bit wild tbh that the biggest brand (Hue) is nog properly supported. Both are premium priced, I find this a bit disturbing tbh. Considering Im adding this 2 years after you its pretty clear no fix is coming.
Yes this is the one. The Hue has 2 sets of wires that can be connected to either traditional switches or to push switches (switches that bounce back to their initial state after pressing).
I connected 2 push switches to the hue. One to each set of wires (yellow and white).
Works like a charm, but issue is that homey sees them both as push button 1 once you make a flow with them.
Hi, without the hue bridge. I even tried it but that doesnt work combined with the (many) tradfri lights and buying a bridge only for this switch seems a bit much…
