How to change the device status into custom text

Hi there,
Using Homey Pro now for one week and I set all my devices up without any problems. Also the advanced flows are working great.
Did some search about how to customise the device staus into my own text. So instead of “alert” I want to see the outcome as “open” or “movement”.
I installed the Device Capabilities app to explore but I cant seem to figure out how this works.
Is there a manual for this app? or can someone give me a brief setup on how to manage this.
Thank you in advance.

Wil

@Wil_Amendt Did you take a look at the app page of the app Device Capabilities?
https://homey.app/nl-nl/app/nl.qluster-it.DeviceCapabilities/Device-Capabilities/
On that page is also a link to the topic of that app.
Community, visit topic.
https://community.homey.app/t/app-pro-device-capabilities-enhance-the-capabilities-of-devices/43287
It is also for almost all app’s.
You can ask it in that topic and there are people who maybe can help you.

In Advanced Capabilities there is a card “set status”.

Thank you, what I did not know was that I had to do this on the mobile app. I was using my desktop all the time. I am one step closer now.

No, both have the status selector.
It’s just the web app doesn’t show text statusses (yet) :face_with_peeking_eye:

Mobile:

Web:

NaN means: Not A Number

If you put it on big tiles, you do.

True, but that doesn’t solve the question.
It’s just impossible to select a text status indicator, they just don’t appear in the web app.
But I showed and explained already.

The functionality is in place, but Athom forgot something as it seems.
So we’re forced to use the mobile app.

Then I might not have understood the problem of the topic starter.
I see your point, to reproduce it I probably have to repair my door sensor or update the app of the sensor.
