I have the same problem. I can’t activate notifications for the motion sensors in Homekit, although the Home app is allowed to send notifications.
Alternatively, you could send Homey a push message as soon as motion is detected. This would also eliminate the need for Homekit. I haven’t tested this yet, but it should work. Ideally, the dashboard would then have its own Homey user.
A community dashboard has another solution to activate the screen when motion is detected. I wrote this article about it:
With this variant you would not need guided access, other apps could then also be used on the iPad without any problems. Unfortunately, this function is not available in the Homey Dashboard.
