I really wanted to test the Bosch Raumthermostat II (battery version), so I now got 1 Smart Controller II and 1 Raumthermostat II. I managed to add the thermostat to the controller but I cannot add the controller to Homey as a Matter Bridge.
I have made a ticket at the Bosch support but that was quite many days ago now so I guess they do not want to help out…
I have activated Matter in the Bosch Controller but when I try to read out the Matter connection code (which I guess I need to connect the controller to Homey?), I just get an error message saying “Code could not be retrieved. Try again.”
And I have tried a thousand times now.
I have reset the Bosch Controller a number of times but nothing seems to work.
I have the latest SW in the controller.
Does anyone have a clue? What have I misunderstood or done wrong?
@Peter_Kawa, thanks for your suggestions but I have followed the tutoriels by both Homey and Bosch and I still can get it to work, unfortunately.
I have been looking into to the bosch forum as well buy I cannot find anyone writing about how to connect Homey and the Bosch Smart Home bridge but I might of course be looking in the wrong threads and my German is not that good…
But there is one thing I just do not cannot understand, it is where you are supposed to find the “connection code” that Homey requires when you want to add a Matter device (a bridge in my case).
My guess have been that it is the code the my Bosch Controller refuses to return to me when requested but I cannot find any tutorial on that specific part.
There must be some people that have managed to connect to the any Matter device I guess, and how did they get the connection codes?
(I have tried all kinds of numbers on the Bosch Controller and the QR code printed on the device but thing is accepted by Homey.)
