I have two Nuki smart locks.
one lock is installed without real problems using the web abb (see note at the end).
but I cannot install the second (most used) lock.
I have deinstalled the first lock, removed the batteries, positioned the homey pro close to the required lock and still the homey (web) app doesn’t find the other lock.
How can I manage to install the other lock.
even when Homey accepts only one smart lock, I prefer the other one as it is most frequently used.
both locks are generation 3.0 and both locks are operating firmware version 3.10.7.
Note:
I could not install the lock using the app on the smart phone as Nuki requires a password to add it to the home app.
at the smart phone Nuki doesn’t log in with a password so I needed the web app at my laptop to install the lock.
The app is developed by Homey, I think it’s best to reach out to Homey support:
Are you sure that both locks are in range of the Nuki bridge? A Nuki bridge is needed for Homey integration, since Homey doesn’t connect directly via Bluetooth
Everybode thanks for the support, I have both locks connected to Homey.
But I have an additional question:
Via a flow the Nuki lock is opent, but this happens when I am 150 m from home.
How can I be assured that the locks opens at close range?
In that case you’d use an alternative geofence tool, like
- the phone app Owntracks & Homey app Location & Presence, works flawless
- the phone app Macrodroid, many things to determine your position (user settable geofence(s), triangle measurements on mobile phone comm towers), your wifi (in range, or connected), works flawless
- the Homey apps Net Scan, or Smart Presence (Net Scan "deluxe); these check your wifi connection to your home wifi system
Con: determine home / away purely by the phone’s connection status to your home network can cause false positives / unwantes “surprises”
You can also use Olisto and the built in Homey webhooks, it also allows you to set custom geofences and radius.
Note that Macrodroid requires watching ads or upgrading to a paid license to keep using it.
I have 2 Nuki locks gen 2 and 1 Nuki lock Pro gen 5. Both gen 2 locks are using a dedicated Nuki bridge. The Nuki lock Pro gen 5 is connecting directly (so no additional bridge.
