When away from my LAN I would like to reach Homey running on my MacMini from the IOS application. Am I missing a step on the MacMini? Nothing loads until I’m home and on my WIFI. Do you need to open ports or when using the Phone Application is this not necessary? Thanks for any clarification one might be able to provide.
No, opening ports is not necessary. Make sure you force-close the Homey app on your phone when you switch networks, that can sometimes fix connection issues. The fact that you’re able to access Homey on your LAN means that your Homey is connected to the Athom server correctly (the cloud connection is used for authentication, even in your LAN).
No love. Logged out of my accounts on both my phone and laptop and have mixed results. The iOS application does not load widgets under the home tab and devices indicated something went wrong. The desktop application is much the same.
Good thing I have a reliable remote desktop (Jump Desktop) that allows me to load Homey on the MacMini it’s running on. I get alerts and everything I really need, just can’t work on Homey when not home.
