HOMEY SHS Can't clear favorite flows

Hi,

I’m running Homey Self-Hosted Server (Docker, on Linux Mint), and I have an issue with favorite Flows in Google Home that won’t clear no matter what I do.

Issue:
Several Flows that I previously marked as favorites (names included a ‘-’ character) are still appearing as routines/scenes in Google Home, even though I have:

  1. Renamed the Flows in Homey
  2. Removed them from favorites entirely in Homey
  3. Disconnected the Google Home integration in Homey and reconnected it
  4. Gone to my Google Account’s third-party access page and revoked Homey’s access there, then reconnected
  5. Forced a manual sync in Google Home multiple times (“Hey Google, sync my devices”)
  6. As a last resort, deleted my entire Google Home and created a brand new one (“Mick’s Home”), then reconnected Homey to it

Despite all of the above, the old/deleted Flow names still show up as favorites in Google Home. This looks like a stale sync cache on the Homey/Google integration side that isn’t being cleared by a normal disconnect-reconnect cycle.

Since I’m on Homey SHS rather than Homey Pro hardware, I wanted to flag that in case this is specific to how SHS registers with Google’s sync service, or if there’s a known gap in feature parity there.

Could you please look into clearing this from your side, or let me know if there’s a deeper reset (e.g. re-issuing the sync token) that would fix it?

Happy to provide screenshots of the ghost flows in Google Home, or any logs from the SHS Docker container, if that helps.

I don’t quite understand yet how your fav Homey flows appear in Ghome UI in the first place.

I can only use voice commands to start my fav Homey flows, but there’s no sign of these mentioned or listed anywhere in the Ghome UI.

in Alexa android the fav flows are available as scene to kick off from an Alexa routines. It’s supposed to work exactly the same way in google Home but my database is corrupted and I can’t clean it up, The fav flows appear on the 1st screen back from linking Homey. They are also appearing at the top when I click devices.

Ah now I see. I never noticed that :smiling_face:
The Dutch translation is partly guilty I think, under “Add Action” > “Scenes” it says “Add settings”;
Which never lead me to think my fav flows would sit in there :relieved_face:

Back to the main issue:

After that, did you ever cut the power from Homey for about 10 minutes?

I think it’s possible these fav flows somehow still “hang” in Athom cloud somewhere (Homey and Athom cloud often have “misunderstandings” about statusses).

i’m running Homey SHS on a Linix with an os of Mint. So i should maybe power off for 10 minutes.. really? I have renamed them all - taken out dashes - made them all unflavored - i have thrown everything at this and nothing seems to have made any difference what so ever. It’s a shame because the feature was very useful.

Homey SHS also needs Athom cloud, but indeed doesn’t need the power to be cut off (it’s a proven “fix for weird stuff” with physical Homey models).

  • Bug confirmed (not SHS specific, I use a a Pro 2026):
    It the meantime it crossed my mind to check some of my fav flows in the Ghome Scenes listing:
    Most of those don’t exist anymore, or were renamed (long) time ago.

  • What still seems to work:
    Adding a flow to fav flows for it’s first time makes it appear in Ghome scenes, and un-fav that flow makes it disappear (I yelled “hey google synchronise devices” after each action).
