Homey read data from Growatt inverter via WiFi dongle

Hi, I’m new here and after 1 year experimenting with Homey Cloud, I now changed to a Homey Pro.

The energy tab is now showing my Growatt inverter by reading cloud data, with quite a delay.
I’ve read and saw a manual how to install a Modbus to have a local wired connection.

Is it possible to setup a local - wifi connection with Homey Pro receiving data from my Growatt inverter?
(My Growatt has a std. wifi Dongle)

Hi Ruud,

When your Growatt inverter doesn’t have modbus onboard, it’s possible to make it work by adding a modbus interface. Here’s how Danee did it:

Does this mean that wireless solution (via the dongle) is not possible at all?

Yes, connecting to the inverter over wifi isn’t possible, you’ll have to take the modbus route.
