Disable auto updates for both firmware and apps.
You’ll get notified about new updates.
Agreed, creating backups, at least before each firmware update is a little effort to prevent you from update ‘disasters’.
And I don’t think a smart home should be depending on one device, like Homey.
The basic things still should be controllable, like lights, heating, cooling, locks
It would have saved me days of work if I could have rolled back an app update. A cloud backup always installs the latest version of an app, so sometimes only a USB backup can save the day.
So first an usb backup and then ‘updating’ (for OS and apps)
It’s been a few days since I moved homey pro, it got better but not completely good. Still a few restarts every day. Now after a number of updates there hasn’t been any restarts. (I got a new power supply after a few days, good support). I’m going to move back to the original location and see what happens, maybe the updates have solved the problem. I also have a Homey 2019 it works without any problems.
