Homey Pro mini + Homey Bridge – Bridge not working for Z-Wave

Hi everyone,

I’m having some trouble getting my Homey Bridge to work properly with my Homey Pro mini, and I’m hoping someone here might know what I’m missing.

I have a Homey Pro mini and want to use the Homey Bridge for Z-Wave, specifically to connect a Shelly Wave Shutter. Since the Pro mini itself doesn’t have Z-Wave, the Bridge should handle this.

Unfortunately, I can’t get it to work properly.

I’ve already contacted Homey Support. They advised me to unplug both the Homey Pro mini and Homey Bridge for 30 minutes and then boot them up again. I tried this, but unfortunately it didn’t make any difference.

The Homey Pro mini itself is online and working normally, but I still can’t use the Bridge/Z-Wave as expected.

Has anyone successfully used a Homey Bridge together with a Homey Pro mini for Z-Wave devices?

If so, is there anything specific I need to do to connect or configure the Bridge with the Pro mini? Or is there a way to check whether the Pro mini actually recognizes and uses the Bridge?

Any help would be appreciated!

Did you follow this instruction to connect the Bridge to your Mini: Set up Satellite Mode for Homey Pro?

Yes, I followed those instructions to set up the Bridge in Satellite Mode.

The LED ring on the Homey Bridge also shows the normal rainbow colors, so as far as I can tell, the Bridge itself is connected and running correctly.

If it hangs on Flashing Zigbee firmware and doesn’t get out of that state after a few hours (and even after factory reset), you should contact Athom as I think your Bridge is bricked in that case.
