Homey Pro early 2023 repeatedly crashing and rebooting

Homey Pro

Firmware: 13.1.0

Looking at posts here from Dec 25, there looks to have been an issue with a previous firmware version that caused the same effects I’m seeing, however, I’m using the latest firmware.

anyone else seeing this issue with their Homey Pro? Suggestions on how to resolve?

What troubleshooting steps have you performed so far, based on the discussion and recommendations, you read ?

Not helpful to you: I’ve zero issues with v13.1.0-RCs and v13.1.0 up til now.

So, apparently it seems to be a firmware plus certain apps / devices issue.

Since the latest update, Matter devices leaves the network every day. Before that, not.

An reboot of Homey mostly solves the problem.

But it is beginning to annoy me…

You’d best contact homey.app/support.
They did change a lot concerning Matter.

By the way, did you also install the beta firmwares? If true, did the Matter devices act up as well?

Same here sadly.. offline Matter devices every few hours… since Update.

Hi,

Since firmware update 13.1.0, my Homey Pro is not more reachable, wirelessly or wired via Homey Ethernet Adapter. The same issue via both the phone app and the web app on pc.

I cannot trigger any device, no more flow is running at all.

The Homey Pro is continuously blinking red.

Hopefully there will be a way to recover it.

It’s best to reinstall the firmware.
How to use the USB tool:
https://support.homey.app/hc/en-us/articles/7263435817116

Before updating firmware, I always create an offline backup per USB tool.
This creates the possibility to revert a firmware update.

As i already wrote, is Matter a problem now. I have several items leaving randomly.

Today i had 2 Eve Energy sockets that were missing. Resetting Homey DID not repair is.

So i tried to repair them directly. That worked, but when looking in the EVE App is only see 1 of them instead of the 2. But they all are working!!!

I already send a ticket to Homey with all the screenshots and diagnostic reports!!!

Today it‘s even worse. A restart of Homey doesn’t solve the issue

Mine also goes offline now. Thought it was the app but it’s the honey pro. Rebooting fixes it for minutes, then goes offline again

I am having the same problem. It has been very unstable for the last week or so. This morning I plugged in a USB cable, and did a full factory reset.

Crashed within 5 minutes.

I have noticed that the Group app seems to be going crazy - 40% cpu and 160 MB of ram.
Last week I disabled a whole bunch of nice to have apps, but the problems persist.

Now I have disabled the Group app. I have one matter light group (3 ikea lights) - that is the only thing that has changed in my setup in the last 2 months.

My Homey keeps getting offline as well. Seems like it’s getting worse. So not nice anymore. Is it hardware related?

My Zigbee apps dont’t work anymore. What a sh.t situation.

I just rebooted my Homey and look: within a minute a new message “Homey Pro seems to be offline”:

I already removed some apps to free any memory.

Maybe not your priority right now, but to help solve such issues, please report to the app developer.
Contact info can be found on the app page at the homey.app store.

Currently running 13.1.1 and ever since powering it off this morning to change outlets, it’s been quite spotty. Unsure what is going on.

To add, it doesn’t appear to be crashing as my Wi-Fi/router still continues to have it showing an established connection.
