Great to see you have found the cause and a solution.
Hopefully they will fix this kind of behavior, it is as far as I know not something you have any control off (beside the total number of apps you are using of course, but that should not be a real user issue if you ask me..)
So Homey cannot connect to the WiFi network it is normally connected to?
Maybe try to restart your WiFi router/access point.
Otherwise you might want to reach out to Athom for support: Support | Homey.
correct. I have already restart the network as well tried to connect it to the hotspot of a phone. no succes. Already in touch with the helpdesk. Thanks
Im having the same issue, seems to be during the night mostly. Ive sent an email to support, but which apps were problematic for you?
Hi,
The apps were Tuya, Meross, Tapo, Shelly, Ring, Eufy. All were the same time. I deleted the tuya and a few others I wasn’t using.
Ah thanks, all apps I use other than Shelly
Hi all,
The regular 9:30 crashes has been solved by Homey support. I had 6 apps all trying to update at that same time each night. Deleting3 solved that problem.
Now I have the problem it randomly goes off line. I even added a tapo switch to Homey with an Alexa routine to switch Homey off for 5 minutes when I tell it to Fix Homey. That was working for a week then it eventually went offline for a couple of days and no matter what I could not get it back online. (ring still rainbow.)
I remembered reading about a simular problem someone had which was fixed by replacing the usb C cable from the ethernet adaptor to Homey. I tried a new cable and it fixed it straight away. I don`t know if it will last but for those suffering simular problems this may be the answer.
Jeff
This is a very common issue, and very strange that Athom support didn’t immediately suggest to do this (replacing the cable and the power supply).
