I have a Homey Pro ‘23 and set it up with zones, devices and flows. Now i have connected it to google home and it is synced. For some reason i do not see any of my zones in home, nor do it see favorite flows in the google home scenes. Should that be the case or do i need to create these again in Google home?
For some reason i only see the devices in google home that are on my homey. But i have to manually select them in google home and add them to a room in google home.
AFAIK zones aren’t synced (I have to add those to GHome myself, and then put the devices in the preferred room), favorite flows aren’t visible, but you can start them with “ok google, start flow name”
YW! In case you didn’t know: You can add multiple devices to a GHome room via “Settings" > “Devices, groups and rooms" > Select a room > “Choose devices".
I noticed that after a Sync between Homey and Google the rooms/zones are not synced. I have to select the device I want to allocate to a new (sub)room/zone and change the setting manually in Google.
Even so, I notice Google doesn’t handle any hierarchy in rooms/zones.
Zo, I wonder if there is a sollution within Google (or with help of Homey) how i can controle a room/zone including its subrooms/zones? So, I can (for example) switch off a zone with all its sub-zones. Thanks in advance!
The zone names also get synced to Google, but it’s always the room where you first add the device (in most cases, this is the root zone where all other zones are in). It doesn’t get changed in Google afterwards (so for me the devices are added to the “Home” room in Google Home)
Not all services support this, but Homey does. If the service doesn’t support this, it will be added to the “Linked to you” room.
