Homey Energy — Public Beta Megathread

You can add more than two decimals:

I have multiple innr sp240 smart plug’s already installed on homey. Why does he do not show them in the energy tab and do I need to install them again?

Why does it look so depressing

Feedback for developers:
I’m not sure if this is the intented value (the whole meter value) to be shown on first day. Perhaps better the daily difference next day.

Yeah, missing my car there :innocent:
Seen it for 3 seconds in the announcement

I’m not worried either.

The problem is, and this is my opinion, that the Homey 2019 is slowly being allowed to die. First it was the dashboard, now the power meter…

My opinion is that everything that comes, both software and hardware, will not be compatible with Homey 2019.

I would like to get some examples from developlement or alpa testers.

  • can I add my wallbox (device class?)
  • can I add grid and house usage? Or are the new device energy SDK settings needed (to set options for measure_power capability in energy object)?
  • can I add gas meter (device class or capability)?
  • can I add my water meter (device class or capability)?

I have all the data already in Homey. But not as a P1 meter.

Ah, yes. I now see that it saves the extra decimals. In the overview, it rounds up to two decimals, though. It would be nice if it displayed all digits there too. Also, what number is being calculated with? Rounded or full prices?

Supposedly because this is probably dark mode?
See my screenshot above for light mode.

I thought they said in the live feed that electric cars are still work-in-progress, but coming.

When I try to install them again it says that they are already installed :face_with_raised_eyebrow:

Sounds logical to me, but it doesn’t seem to be the cse:

Would be great if it comes to early adopters with an older homey too, even if it’s a one time payment to support development.

Don’t be dramatic; nothing has died here or will in the future because of a feature upgrade.
Your Homey still has all functionality it had when you bought it.

I can understand that you are disappointed, but you can not expect a product to keep getting all feature upgrades.
Your homey is still being supported for all things you bought it with, and probably even more. Even the very first Homey is still being fully supported for updates.

And you can simply buy Dashboards for a very small one-time fee if you want it.

Could have expected that—as already predicted in the YouTube feed—Homeys released in 2019 or earlier are not supported.

100 points that this wouldn’t have been the case without the acquisition by LG. If the dongle had to be linked with Matter, it could still be justified, as the 2019 model isn’t compatible with it. But not now. A shame.

Will it work with the dongle from Smart Gateway? I already have a dongle for water and electricity.

Smart gateways have a Homey-app.

why I cannot select existing devices to top consumers , old energy I see them and don’t want to add them again

Is support for the HAN port in Norwegian power meters planned? HAN is based on M-Bus and IEC 62056.
