Homey Dashboards — Megathread

Hello, is there a way to bring appointments from his personal calendar iOS to the dashboard? Maybe automatically write on a note or really a calendar that shows the dates? Unfortunately, I find the dashboard unusable without such possibilities.

Sorry Mark,

This is it

Weerplaza regenradar" style=“padding: 10px; width: 100% !important; max-width: 600px !important; height: 698px !important; border: 1px solid rgb(244, 244, 244) !important; box-sizing: border-box !important;”

EDIT:

During copy paste it isn’t showing the link correctly

@Rogier_Verheugen On- my 11 inch dashboard looks like this. I’m missing some overview of the map?

Hi Rogier,

To have links showing / working correctly, put 3 backticks around it ```
or use the </> Preformatted text button (or CTRL + e):

Hi Mark,

1 Can you turn on ‘scrollen inschakelen’?
2 Zoom out the widget / map.
3 And turn OFF ‘scrollen inschakelen’

Rogier

That doesn’t matter

Was zoomed out already

By the way, this shows the same card, Rogier:

This

shows this, Mark:

On my mobile phone it’s fine on my tablet is different

Play a bit with the frame height ratio, I’d say.
On my tablet it’s the ratio for my phone is too high.
This phenomenon is not occurring with this widget only, it also shows some html items from home assistant with different heights.
And, the deviation is smaller when tablet is in portrait mode.

I solved this problem with setting a fixed height. I just configured the widgets on my Mac and now no more blank spaces on my phone and tablet.

Have a look at the Homey app IcalCalendar. I am using it to bring our shared family Gmail calendar into the Homey dashboard - as well as trigger flows based on upcoming events. Unsure if it works with iCloud calendar - but assuming it you can get an ical link for embedding, it should work…

I would like to display running timers from the Chronograph app on my dashboard. Any thoughts how to show these?

You can include it as part of the text in a DataVista Label widget or in an Enhanced Device Widget Status widget.

Here an example based on the DataVista Label widget:

The flowcard for setting the Label widget:

Cool! I was also thinking of using datavista, but how do I get the current timer value as an option to choose? “Waarde”

Ah yes, I forgot to mention that bit .

As far as I know, the remaining time of the timer is not directly available as a tag. Instead, I am using an Enhanced Virtual Device that includes the remaining time as a capability.

In an Enhanced Virtual Device you can select timers/stopwatches from the Chronograph app as a source for capabilities.

Next, in the flow I use a WHEN card from the Enhanced Virtual Device app, that triggers when there is a change in a capability, as the trigger for the DataVista Label widget. In this case a change in the remaining timer value:

That card also provides a Value (‘Waarde’) tag that holds the current value of the changed capability. In this case the remaining timer value.

Have you added a device lock pin to your android device? This fixed it for me.

Hi all,

I’m encountering a problem with any widget on my dashboard that keeps loading while there’s a local connection. The widgets do load when the Homey app is connected via the Athom cloud. I had no problems about 1 to 2 weeks ago.

Running app version 9.1.0 build 1680 on iOS and iPadOS. Reverting to build 1662 and 1646 didn’t make a difference.

Anybody that’s encountering this problem as well?

No problems at my side. Using iPadOS 18.3.1 and app 9.1.0.1680

Thanks for your reply!

This confirmed that it had to be a problem at my side. Turns out my DNS rebind protection was the culprit here. Dashboard widgets won’t load when Homey can’t establish a secured local connection. I whitelisted homeylocal.com and now no problems anymore.
