This morning I found this out as well. Not very useful for my dinner week planning.
Is this a bug or as designed? @Harwin

We, or at least I alone, have been using the Homey for a few months now. My family doesnât want to use it because they find it too nerdy. To be honest, I think so too. After a while, you do get used to it, but now Iâm the only one doing everything here.
I was happy with the dashboards as they seemed like a solution, so I could display them on our presentation screen. But after a first look at the examples, they werenât interested. The appearance doesnât appeal to teenagers here. They find it too complicated.
Will there be a widely usable app for the general public? so that we can use it on the presentation screen next to the kitchen bar as our family app?
@Fishflu how did you do this as iCalCalendar doesnât have a Dashboard widget
Donât know what they do within the app or if your automations need (a lot) of manual interactions.
You might use the Space Homey app, which transform an image of your rooms or floorlevels (or any graphical representation) to an intuitive way of controling your devices.
You get the embedded ical url from google calendar (online), and use it in a Homey Dashboard Web frame. Works like a charm.
@Paul_Kessels this is a tutorial how to get your google callender in homeydashboards:
Awesome, thanks!
Duh, he made that vid using my post here ![]()
Indeed, I have an old tablet laying around. The homey app can be opened, but the dashhoards donât always load properly. A web page just for showing the dashboard (no editing) might work better than having to run the app.
Yesterday, I updated the iOS/iPadOS Homey app to version 9.1.0 build 1692. Previously I was on build 1680. Since the update Dashboards and its navigation have become very sluggish.
Symptoms:
Some dashboards freeze after a few seconds (though not always);
After tapping the dashboard controls, like the list with dashboards in the header or the close (X) or edit (pen) icons, noting happens or it takes several seconds for the app to respond;
When a dashboard is displaying and the iPad locks; after unlocking the active dashboard freezes. In build 1680 the dashboard would just refresh and continue to work after unlocking.
My iPad gets noticeably warmer during the above mentioned symptoms.
I have to force close the app and reopen it get it to work again.
Is anyone else experiencing the same issues?
@Harwin: is this perhaps a known issue?
Hey,
We are aware of people noticing a performance decrease in version later than 1680. It is something I am currently investigating. This unfortunately seems to be an app wide issue in the experimental builds. We havenât made any changes to dashboards itself, therefore it is probably unrelated to it.
Thanks for letting us know!
Hi @SWarnberg
I donât know why they changed this. I had to use my Homey Password
I think because unlocking with the device PIN would mean the user could also quit kiosk mode because the PIN is known. This way unlocking the dashboard is separated from exiting kiosk mode.
Performance seems to be normal again in version 9.2.0 build 1698
