Seems similar to an issue I have with my setup. I have a virtual network for all IoT devices and I have my default network. Currently there is no network separation, but is one of my goals.
So all my IoT devices live in their IoT virtual network, Homey pro is wirelessly linked to the IoT network and linked with the physical Ethernet adapter to the default network. Both connections have a fixed network address. This setup was working perfectly (access through browser on my desktop pc, app access from iPhones, iPads and Samsung S22 and Samsung Tab have been working independent of being attached to the IoT virtual network or default network. Very convenient to start with setting up the dashboard.)
Trouble started out of the blue towards the end of February. On February 27, 2025, suddenly there was no more loading of widgets when iPhones, iPads, Samsung tabs and phones have connected to the default network. Switching them to the IoT virtual network solved the loading problems of the widgets, but no way it was working when theses devices have been attached to the default network. Interestingly enough some information like the presence of the family members is still working when in the default network, but other widgets are simply not loading the information and are running into a time out.
I still have access to the Homey web page from my PC from within the default network. I can edit, create or delete devices, can create, delete or edit advanced flows etc. So there is no limitation when accessing Homey Pro throug html. But widgets in the dashboard in the default network are a no no.
As html does work in the default network, but widgets do not, there must have been a change of handling of how widgets are being loaded into the dashboard.
My network knowledge is a bit limited, but my assumption is that a change in homey.app’s network configuration does now block the traffic between my two networks (I am using Homey’s network service. There was no change in my network configuration or updates since at least two months). I assume a change somewhere now runs into something like a DNS rebind protection.
Update (March 26):
I wanted to include some screen shots. This morning the dashboards widgets are loading again in the default network.
Update 2 (March 26):
Now it is afternoon and the widgets are not loading again.
See screenshot.
Update 3 (March 28)
Today it is working again (happy camper I am):
Which IP address is showing when you check the Homey settings? And is it switched between your default and IoT IP address when the widget don’t and respectively do work?
Is it also possible for you to check your router for firewall and DNS logs?
My network environment consists of multiple VLANs where my Homey lives in the IoT network via a wireless connection (HP2019 so no ethernet). I punched a few holes in the firewall so select devices on my LAN can initiate connections to my Homey.
Hi to you All!
I have an old iPad Air 2 A1566 with a broken battery.
How does Homey Dashboard run on this older device? Are there 3 colums on the homescreen and is it running ok?
A new battery is about €100, maybe i better buy a new €100 Android tabet, 11" 8GB ?
THX!
I’m working on a Time Zones widget. It’s still pretty basic, but maybe it can be useful for some people.
What is that radio widgets?
Actually it’s not a radio widget. It shows the current song playing on Apple Music, using the scrobble function of Last.fm.
I made it mostly because I like the look, but I’m not sure if many others would be interested.
I’m travelling often world wide for work. So this is very useful for me and my wife.
Same as your flight tracker😉
After the post of @Mark1541 I decided to give an actual radio widget a go.
Looks great!
Can we find that widget somewhere?
Hi, I am working on my Homey dashboards and looking for an possibility to switch dashboard tabs/pages within a flow.
As an example: when my Ring doorbell is active I want to switch from a standard dashbord to a cam dashoard to see the snapshot from the doorbell in the wall mounted tablet.
Is it possible or any other solution like a popup on the main dashboard to see the door cam?
Following, this sounds cool
At this moment not possible (yet) @Doekse idea?
Hi, I have Dashboard running on an iPad air 2. It works, has three columns, but… it is really slow. So depends what you want with it, I only use it as a display, not for controlling stuff (would love to, but the Homey app seems to heavy).
Hello everybody.
I already looked on the forum and I found an article about my problem but no solution for me so heres my problem. I have a lenovo m10 fhd tablet and I cant get the widgets to load for instance iss tracker or octo app. My camera app works fine and favorite flows and insights from my homey pro.
If I close the dasboard I seea glimps of iss tracker and then its gone. It looks like my tablet wont show the widgets.
Hello guys,
I worked arround my problem with the widgets not loading, I bought a samsung a9plus tablet that works great.
Maybe I missed a solution somewhere, but is it possible to change colour of the widgets?
I mean, the colours of button(widget) turned on or off are to close to each other and in some cases difficult to distinguish.
I use a tablet in light mode for daytimes and dark mode for evenings.
Any ETA available on this?
