Only me having “major” problems with the latest Android app and Dashboards? First of all it’s slow (much slower than the previous version), but having it running 24/7 on a tablet kills the app eventually. Not literally, but after a while, it takes so long to reload the widgets, so it’s completely useless.
So do you wish all the apps on your phone had identical icons and the only distinguishing factor was the text below them? Would you or anyone buy a phone like that? No, because it is a flawed design that should be changed.
I think the energy widgets look really good on my dashboard, but I cannot change the Timeframe, only showing consumtion or Solarpanel yield for the last minute? Anybody figured out how to change that? (I know that you can get other timeframes by clicking on the widget, but thats not what I want)
That’s only for current power.
For other time frames you can use the insights chart.
Well, for me a phone serves a completely different purpose as a dashboard, so it’s a comparison that doesn’t make sense to me. You are focusing on one particular item and not looking beyond that which makes the comparison flawed in my opinion.
If I want to add the possibility to start flows from my dashboard I’d probably create a Virtual Device for it, slapped on my desired icon and be happy with it.
I never leave my couch or bed to use my tablet to start flows (I can start flows by voice through google mini’s e.g. television or radio or my I go to sleep flow) but I use them to monitor devices or see snapshots if some one rings the bell (Ring) or enter my garden (Eufy cameras)
Because two things don’t serve identical purposes you can’t comprehend a comparison regarding similar aspects? So if I said something like “Homey’s app is slow, I wish it would load fast, like Facebook’s app” you would not understand? They serve different purposes so does not compute?
Right, this is a fruitful discussion, great job ignoring a solution I provided you and keep whining over something that isn’t there and won’t come.
Great job ignoring someone else’s opinion because it differs from yours ![]()
I really like the new Sensors widget - well done, Athom.
To make it even more useful, I would like to be able to:
- Select the color myself.
- Override the name(s).
Where did you find that
Hi,
Dashboard is a great tool for my Homey. It works fine with my android devices.
But because I work every day with a Windows computer, I’d like to see my dashboard in my browser. And actually My Homey… do not allow this
Is there a way to see an html version of my browser?
I found a way (which is rather loud), I emulate an android device within my computer (with Blue stacks) ; it works but it crash a lot.
Thanks for your help.
There’s no way to use a browser (yet?) to show the dashboard.
An emulator is still needed to run the Homey app.
I can recommend
No one commented on this issue so I assume no one else experienced it. I have worked out what happened here - I still think it was due to a software update.
Because I have poor eyesight I have to set my tablet to have increased text size. I did previously reduce the text size back to small to test if that was the cause, but when I went back to the Dashboard I still only had one column.
What I found is that I have to reduce the text size and then exit the dashboard. Then when I come back to it I get two columns. I can then increase the text size and keep getting two columns.
Still, in an ad-hoc manner the display will go back to one column on occasion. At least I now know how to fix the issue.

Same thing in the dashboard which is limited to 3 tiles/row on my Magic 6 lite smartphone ![]()
Perhaps that message was in Dutch as well?
This is an English topic here. You can find the Dutch part of the Community here:
Oké, that is possible. I had my browser with Dutch translation and I had write it in Dutch. Hmm, sorry, that’s not nice to do. But I think that is it. A pity that a moderator is nog telling it. But for you, thank you.
When activating the Kiosk mode nothing happens for me. Anybody else seeing this behaviour?
