Homey Dashboards | Megathread

Maybe I oversee something.
But how can I show some attributes of a solar panel in the dashboard. I only want to see the voltage, without diagram.

Yes, but only if it becomes available as web page: Ggl hub needs a web page to cast to.
BUT, login is impossible, a Ggl hub has no virtual keyboard.
They would’ve to provide for a long lived token like they provided for homey.ink
Then it is possible to show the web app w/o the login

Hi
I have searched many threads on this forum trying to find out where to buy the promised dashboard that was on “beta” recently. I have tested it, and now all gone. I am a user of the old Homey PRO 2019 and I read that it is a one-time purchase. So where is it?

I have a request (sorry for my English) could evaluate to create an icon where I can link with each dashboards? Like as navigation tab

Hey guys,

Since I didn’t have an old tablet lying around, I sourced the cheapest tablet I could find.
Managed to get hold of a galaxy tab A9, yesterday, and built a nice dashboard for it.

Tonight it’ll be mounted to the wall.

I am still searching for a way to keep the screen on (dimmed is fine) at all times without having to hard wire it. as long as I don’t have to activate it every time by double tapping.

whatever I try, the screen goes out when it’s not charging.

anyone here that already resolved this problem?

The Zone controls widget does exactly that for your info. Make sure to keep adding new controls, you combine multiple zones and control type, the ones you listed are all there.

My contribution to the dashboard widgets collection
It combines multiple climate measurement devices present in a zone into a single view with avarage values (exclude them using the standard ‘include in climate’ option)
So now you can see in one widget the status of the climate in a zone including air quality etc.

Could you please provide some screenshots with how this would look in the dashboard?

Neat!

I just tried it and noted that you need to select the specific room/zone the climate device is in. Would it also be possible to have the widget use the input of sub zones? E.g. I have several Netatmo devices in my house. Each in a different room/zone. If I select the overarching zone (Home) that includes all the rooms, the widget shows no info. Would be nice if the widget would show an average of all the climate devices in the sub zones.

I have the tablet on a smart plug (luckily it is on a wall I could drill through for a connection on a socket. Every 8 hours I charge for an hour.

Will we ever get the Homey app (and therefore the Dashboards) available on the Amazon app store, on Echo Show 15 and 21?

@Harwin - any similiar reports from other users?

Using Dashboards on an Android device together with Fully Kiosk. Since the screen is enabled/disabled through motion, I can’t exactly say when it happens, but:

After a few days of usage, the Dashboard is closed automatically and the app reverts to the start screen.

A bit annoying, but hopefully we can select the start screen in the app in the future, so this can be mitigated. On this tablet, I never ever want to the the start page.

Have the same issue

I have been using DaneedeKruyff’s Dashboard app for my dashboard (local on Homey 2023) for a long time.
The advantage is the color representation of the icons/devices in their respective states. For example, if a window is open, the icon on the dashboard shows this in a red flashing interval. Heimdall is active or deactivated = the icon is red or green. The air pollution in a room increases, the icon changes color, etc.
In summary, I only have devices/icons on the dashboard, but the respective color of the icon gives me a very quick overview of the state of my smart home.
Now I wanted to transfer this tried and tested dashboard to the “new dashboard world”. Of course, everything looks more modern, but I haven’t managed to display the states of individual sensors in color, for example to immediately see that a window is open.
And yes, of course an Aquara sensor, for example, shows that it is open with a small exclamation mark. However, this is no replacement for a completely red flashing icon/device.
Perhaps I have overlooked something, or there is a widget that I have not seen yet that can implement this.

I have some ideas for larger icon state widgets with state colors, but this is still in development. In the meantime, perhaps my DataVista toggle switch widget could be useful, @Tregobad? The toggle switch is not intended for an alarm-like function as it does not flash or attract attention and its design is very minimalistic, but it does allow you to display individual states.

While we use (mostly) MacBooks internally, that’s not why we don’t develop Dashboards for Windows. Our choice of hardware doesn’t limit our platform support. Plus, judging by the phones around the office, there’s a pretty even split between iOS and Android. I’m a Google Pixel user myself

The main reason Homey Dashboards works well on macOS and ChromeOS devices is that they can run mobile apps natively. Unfortunately, Windows simply falls short in this regard.

Thanks for your fast reply. Tested your App, also your toggle switch. Your idea under development sounds interisting. Check out your new version again

@Doekse I sometimes have when the dashboard is on for a long time that it no longer responds to anything

I have to close the homey app after which it works again

Is this a known problem?
