Hello, I have a homey bridge to extend my Homey Pro network in the garage, and is connected as such.
I am having an issue adding a Z-Wave device in the garage that is supported. Enbrighten Z-Wave Plus Smart switch. Sometimes it times out, or after the code entry it fails.
I added a zigbee device to the garage and went ok.
Question : How do I know what hub a device is connected to?
I wonder if the z-wave device is trying to connect to the hub in the house and not the bridge 10 feet from the switch
As well as the zigbee device I added may be connected to the hub in the house and not the bridge.
Thanks
Awesome information! Thank you.
Unfortunately, I don’t think it shows which hub a device is connected to. As the end game is to trouble shoot a pairing issue. Garage motion, I paired successfully in the garage, but not sure if it is paired with the Pro or the Bridge (should be the bridge)
Actually yes, you can disassemble it, connect it to a cable with plug (power supply only), plug it in near Homey Pro, learn it, then reassemble it within 30 minutes at the fixed location.
Next time before assembly in the right place, learn it, then you save yourself the disassembly.
Thanks for all the suggestions, I would hope that the Bridge would be a “sub-control” instead of just a router but moving on. Now that it is paired, The switch will not use the bridge as a router even though it is much closer than the next node it is connecting to.
Any way to force it? Using the heal command fails. Because it’s reaching such a far distance, it is unreliable.
You can’t really influence the used routes. In theory it shouldn’t be necessary.
You can somewhat influence it by adding router devices, or by moving them to other spots.
But to us humans, chosen routes can be very unlogical.
