Homey, Apple Home and multiple users

Hey all,

I am using the Homey Pro 2019 with several IKEA, Hue, Aqara products. The IKEA hub is the only one I am using, all other devices are directly coupled to homey.

Few months ago I switched to IOS and I connected Homey to my Apple Home app, I like it to just pull down the Notification Center and turn on/off some devices directly from the native IOS software.

However, I would like that my girlfriend (we live together) can do the same. She is already added in Homey with her own Homey account, and we enebled the Apple HomeKit experiment on her settings as well, but when we try to add homey on her apple Home app it doesn’t work. This is super frustrating.

Has anyone experienced the same? Or how are you handling this problem otherwise? Would it make sense for us to buy an apple homepod or do I need all other hubs as well then? I just hope for an easy fix in homey alone…

Thanks!

As far as I know, HomeKit bridges (like the one Homey provides) can only be paired with one “home”, which means that your girlfriend has to be invited into the existing home (that you created on your iOS device), and I think this also means you need a HomePod or AppleTV.
