Homey 2026 Wifi connection problems

I installed new 2026 Homey Pro and after couple of factory resets, updating the latest firmware and using the second latest backup I got it migrated from 2019 Homey Pro.

Homey pro is connected through wifi, Deco X50 mesh routers. Dynamic DHCP used.

The Z-wave devices worked, Zigbee devices needed to repair or actually repairing.

During these zigbee inclusions I noticed that there is much wifi connection problems with the Homey Pro (Homey app loosing the connection all the time and the insights giving the timeout error). I thought I try to make the static IP address setting to the Deco X50 router first because I need it to set static ip address for the MQTT broker run in Homey.

When I set the static IP address the Homey lost connection completely. I removed the static IP address from router and booted the router and Homey multiple times. I also removed the connection “details” from the router. Nothing worked the Homey cannot connect to the wifi anymore.

Help is needed. How do I get the connection established again to Homey without factory reset and when this is done why the Homey lost the connection when using static IP address?

Contacted the support also, but if someone has run into similar issues, help would be much appreciated.

Have you locked Homey to a specific Deco (the one that’s closest to Homey)? If you don’t set that up, the Homey might hop between mesh nodes often

That would have been the next thing to do after setting up the static IP address. At the moment I cannot connect to Homey.

You should do that from within the Deco mobile app

Yeah that’s right, but the device is not settable in the deco app when it’s not connected and I also removed the device “info” from Deco app in order to get it to “fresh” connect. So cannot change the router selection at the moment either.
