Athoms homekit is too raw. It added all devices to homekit.
If you have placed your devices in different rooms checked/unchecked favorites it would be ok in homekit till homey reboot. As homey rebooted all devices in homekit are restored to default room.
But it was reported to Athom a week ago, so may be they have fixed it
devices do not always update status, for example my blinds are always open or always closed according to homekit.
virtual buttons are not found bij homekit.
It is a shame that the good working apps are killed by an experimental feature in an experimental firmware that is made bij athom in an hour on sunday afternoon(according to Emile)
This is truly dissapointing and will keep me from update as long as possible or until the issues are fixed. I dont understand how athom not understand the markeeting possibiliets if homey has good homekit supportā¦ Well well, thanks for the info.
On 2.0 since the start. Like the progress that is being made and features being added like insights. It is experimental yesā¦ However, as it is my phylosophy that a house should never depend on a sole controller and everything can still be controlled by physical switches/devices some bugs are not an issue for me.
Recent addition in rc8 is the history of switching of a device.
Yes i cotrlol everything with homekit using homepod and apple watch, now it is just not working well, if athom fixes this and the zigbee stability it is an great system.
Anyway, it is experimental now so it should only get better
Iām happy with the athom that is trying to repair and tuning V2.0. But the problems are many. One will be removed and two will be added. At the moment I do not have a functional application. Some parts of the menu are only empty white screens. Xiaomi buttons stopped working. Scenes do not work. Iām fluffy. Iām thinking of going back to 1.5.13 :vzlyk:
I have reinstalled the application on my phone. And this helped me to work reliably. It is recommended to reinstall the application. ! The latest updates made it unstable. If you have any problem with the application, you need to reinstall it first.
Yeah, think so as well. Itās a pity.
However - itās still just a beta, we need to remember that.
The good working apps, that make homey as useful as it is, get killed unfortunately and you cannot use Homey reliably.
I think it could be quite a nice way to go for Athom, if theyād include the developers of the apps a bit more.
I Would even go further and start a completely renewed AppStore with Apps you can pay for; a way to contribute to the developers much more and keep them included in every phase.
Just my two pence on it, while recognising that the latest build killed my 20 Aqara sensors :-/
What I miss in both the old and new UI is actual sensor values in the user interface, for instance showing on/off state of a power outlet, the temperature of a temperature sensor and so on. Gives a much better overview than having to click on each and every one of the sensors.
Any reason why it is that way? I canĀ“t remember any other HA-software that kind of static presentation.
(IĀ“m not using 2.0 myself, since I donĀ“t want to risk having to re-include all devices, but it seems to behave the same way when looking at videos of it)
