I understand that the HomeKit experiment is retiring or will stop working soon and I need to switch to the Matter Bridge app. I’ve done this: I’ve installed it and I’ve linked it to HomeKit but only half of my devices are showing up
You don’t need to switch away from Homekit AFAIK, you can still use this app:
That Matter Bridge app is not ready to be used. It eats RAM and offers less functionality than the experiment and HomeKitty.
No panic, as we can read in the firmware changelog, nothing changes as long as you don’t disable the Homekit experiment.
Plus, it doesn’t apply to pre Pro 2023 models

The topic title seems to be about a fact or statement, I’d like to suggest to change it to something like
“How do I switch from Homekit integration to the Matter bridge app”
Will Homekitty work for the Aqara FP2 Presence sensor?
I think you need the HomeKit Controller app for that
The HomeKit Controller app works the other way around from what HomeKitty does.
HomeKitty exposes Homey devices to HomeKit, the HomeKit Controller app exposes HomeKit devices to Homey.
So will HomeKitty works with the FP2? Depends on which way around you mean.
I got a message HomeKit Experiment is retiring. Is this different from HomeKit Controller?
I want to use the FP2 in Homey.
I have HomeKit Controller in place, but got a message that it will retire.
Yes, the HomeKit Experiment is Athom’s implementation of what HomeKitty does: expose Homey devices to HomeKit. HomeKit Controller is a community app, which will keep working.
Can you share that message?
From what I understand, @Martin_Verbeek is not “retiring” his HK Controller app in any way.
It is Athoms Homekit Experiment that expires. That works the other way around. Homey devices will be advertised as Homekit devices.
My app works on Homekit devices that want to be Homey devices. No retiring of my app
