[HomeKit Controller] Aqara FP2 - Multi-presence detection

Hello everyone,

I am creating this post because I have encountered an issue with using the Aqara FP2 via HomeKit Controller since this detector was released.

The app and the FP2 are up to date, but it seems that HomeKit Controller does not yet support multiple people reporting to Homey.

Let me explain… I use this detector to control the lights in several defined areas in my living room. So when zone X becomes occupied, the lights turn on, and when zone X has been unoccupied for 15 seconds, the lights turn off. However, if I am sitting at the table with my partner, the flow turns on the light in the zone, but if one of us leaves the zone, the lights end up turning off even though the other person is still in the zone.

After discussing this with ChatGPT, it told me that this seems to be related to a current limitation of the HomeKit Controller app, which does not yet support this “specific feature” of the Aqara FP2. It told me, for example, that this is supported by the equivalent Home Assistant app.

Is this the case?
If so, will an update be released to fix this issue?
Is there a workaround?
Have you also experienced this issue?

Thank you for your help.
