Help with Homey logic

Hello

I have created a few basic flows but I now need to understand better Homey Logic, which I find not intuitive at all (quite a disappointment for me as I thought Homey was really user friendly).

I have created a 1st flow using Homey logic: if motion sensor goes off and luminance >10 lux, then switch light on. It works well.

Now I want to create another flow: if water temperature of my boiler gets below 40°, then send me a notification. But I’m not able.
Here’s what I do:
1°) create new standard flow
2°) WHEN → LOGIC
3°) This is my problem: I can only see 2 options
image

  • variable has been modified (but no variable is in the list)
  • webhook event has been received (with still no event in the list)
Nothing allows me to select "if water temperature goes below.

Now what I’m really struggling with is that in the first condition I select “if motion sensor is triggered”, then I can select much more logic, including “if varaiable is below…” and then in the list I can see “water temperature”

I guess I’m pretty much most here and don’t understand how Homey Logic really works

Thanks

I guess you are thinking too complicated.
What device is used to measure the temperature in the boiler? What app is used for this device?

you’re probably right

my device is a Mitsubishi heat pump, and the app is called Melcloud
I just went to creat a flow again, and noticed below the main section (where you hade, date, logic…), there is a list of apps, and then if I select MelCloud I have a card called “if water temperature goes below xx”, which is exactly what I want!

Thanks Dirt for showing me the right way

You will also find the available flow cards for your Mitsubishi heat pump in the zone, where it’s located.

Or much faster, over the search box:

Thanks Dirk

you’re right I was thinking to complicated. I had assumed there would not be a ready to use card for my need, when there is one. I was simply trying to replicate the logic learned from the previous use of Homey logic.
I guess there is a learning curve, as it should be

Thanks
