"HELP" I'm desperate because homey pro doesn't work properly

Homey pro works very badly from the computer.
1st it doesn’t let me make flows with the “LOGICA” card, it crashes.
2nd on the devices if I turn any device on or off, homey crashes.
3rd every two or three days homey pro crashes and I have to disconnect it from the power grid to recover it.

Sounds like your Homey has hardware issues. You should contact the seller.

I have already found the problem with the first two problems I had, it was the Microsoft “EDGE” browser, there must be something in the configuration that blocks the Homey website. I have tried with Google Chrome and it works without problems.
And the third problem was that Homey was blocked and I had to turn it off and on, I saw in the timeline that it crashes when Homey Pro tries to make a backup. I have to confirm this last one.

Do any of you know if you can configure Homey so that it does not try to make backups?

If you purchased the backups, it will perform the backup. There is no option NOT to perform backup since/if you purchased it.

And why does this appear if I don’t have the backup subscription?

Have you checked what the notifications says ? What does the Backup details says ? Maybe there will be information, that you don’t have valid backup purchase, don’t know.

@Maximino_Cantero_Mar

It must be an extension such as ad-blocker or other third-party extension that blocks execution of code/scripts as I’m using Edge on various PCs and Mobile phone without problem with Homey. I would check the extensions you have installed.

Regarding backups: Do you see backups or backup subscription on that page: My backups | Homey

The problem I had with “Microsoft EDGE” is that I have automatic translation enabled. I have disabled it and everything works again.
Thanks for your help.

Thanks for sharing, I would have never expected translation to crash Homey Web App

But there is

I’m curious what the status is, according to Homey. Go to
...More > Backups

When you don’t have a supscription, Homey should not report any backup issues

Ou, yes, you are right :+1:

Because Homey conatains a lot of bugs.

Contact support, they will help you.

Backup needs ~15% memory. Download the sysinternals app and you can monitor your free memory. I had the same, seems the free men was too low so it just crashes while preparing the backup. The only solution is to make space bij disabling or removing apps. I started with disabling some apps so I could start a first backup. Somehow after a backup the free space suddenly increases.

I don’t know if it’s the memory, I have 1.4 GB of the 2 GB available free. My question is why does it start making a backup copy every 15 days if I don’t have that service contracted.

I quit this topic as you don’t answer my question.
And did you follow Menno’s hint about support?
And please give some feedback, only complaining won’t get it fixed.
Cheers

1st I think it’s great that you’re leaving.
2nd I don’t see the image you posted of the backup anywhere.
3rd I haven’t contacted support, because I’m still not 100% sure that what’s blocking homey is the backup because it does it approximately every 15 days when I’m sure I’ll contact support, don’t worry.
4th and before asking and complaining I usually do a lot of research on the forum and if I’m unable to fix it then I ask.
5th If you look at the flow thread where I asked a question about not letting me make flows with the logic card, by investigating I discovered that it was the Microsoft browser translator that was blocking homey web.
in short, I do investigate before asking, and if it bothers you, I apologize
regards

Hi @Maximino_Cantero_Mar to be fair Peter was trying to help the same way he is helping many other Homey users in this community. He tried to get information from you on the most obvious settings to check and this is the one you did not provide and that would be helpful to get before proceeding further.

Him and others spend time asking questions to help. Ignoring them is not the right way to get help for free.

If you could get us a screenshot from that page, it might help us understand

The idea of support is that they help figuring out the cause.

If you find the cause yourself they can’t believe that right away, you will still need to go through the default support questions and tests.
