Hi, I’ve started setting up the heating flow in my apartment. I got rid of the Nest thermostat I had before. That was what used to turn on the gas boiler for heating. Now, I’ve installed a Shelly module in the boiler, which I want to use for control. So, my question is: is this flow set up correctly?
If the temperature changes (here I understand that any temperature change on the sensor, in this case, Netatmo, is taken into account; for example, if the temperature drops from 20.5 to 20.3, will Homey treat this as a temperature change?) —> it is a time between 16:00 and 20:00—> the temperature (Netatmo) is less than 19.5—>turn on the gas boiler (Shelly)
The situation is analogous for turning off the boiler.
Is such a flow correct? Or is there a better way to set up this flow
Yes, assuming the first card is from a Netatmo temperature measuring device.
Note that:
The flows runs on every temperature change and will give the switch on/off command to the Shelly switch. You might want to include an extra check that determines if the switch is already on/off and only proceeds if the switch needs to be changed.
The times you mention in your post do not match the ones in the flow: the flows run when the time is between 4 and 8 o’clock in the morning.
Yes, I know the times were different. I decided to change the trigger parameter. Now I’ve set the flow to start when the temperature drops below 19.5 degrees, so it doesn’t start the flow with every change. But my question is: if the temperature drops below 19.5 before 4 PM, will the gas boiler turn on at 4 PM?
The heater is set to 21 degrees and is supposed to create a temperature association with the sensor being used in this flow.
During this time slot, it is not supposed to heat this room. This is a bedroom, and I only want it to be warm in the morning when I wake up.
