Govee Matter ASmart Bulbs and Zooz ZEN76 Switch

Hello Everyone

I am using Homey Pro 2026 and have Zooz ZEN76 switches as my controllers. I am attempting to use Govee H600B Matter Smart Bulbs in a light fixture. Hello Everyone

I am using Homey Pro 2026 and have Zooz ZEN76 switches as my controllers. I am attempting to use Govee H600B Matter Smart Bulbs in a light fixture. I preconditioned the bulbs prior to inserting them in the fixture and can access them in both the Govee iPhone app and the Homey app (iPhone and web). When I take the bulbs from the preconditioning fixture to the light fixture controlled by the ZEN76, the Govee app tells me the bulbs are no longer connected. I precondition the bulbs in a night light fixture near my desk and unscrew them before screwing them into my fixture (3-4 minutes max) which is no different than a brief power failure.

Does anyone have any suggestions?

Thank you

PS - the ZEN76 is in smart bulb mode so it is always on

Do you wait long enough (typically 1-2 minutes) for them to reconnect to the WiFi network and the Govee cloud?

Also, do you have good WiFi coverage there? IoT devices like the Govee bulbs often use weaker antennas than f.e. a smartphone.

Hi Sven

Here is where I am with the bulbs.

Initial steps:

  • Get Govee app from Homey

  • Verify IPv6 on Router

  • Verify 2.4 Ghz

  • Get and install API from Govee for Homey

Next Steps:

  • Insert bulb in night light in set up area

  • Turn on bulb

  • Find bulb via Bluetooth

  • Add bulb to home network with password

  • Add bulb to Homey with device number

Test bulb connection:

  • Look at bulb in Devices in Homey

  • Verify intensity was adjustable in Homey

  • Verify color change was working in Homey

Final steps:

  • Removed the bulb from the night light

  • Inserted the bulb in the home fixture (fixture switch was turned on)

  • Opened Govee app

  • Received message to reconnect

  • Could not connect after many attempts

The time between the removal from the night light to the fixture was about 5-6 minutes, so well within the 15 minute limit. I brought the bulb back to my test area and the bulb connected to Homey just fine. I tested the bulb 24 hours later and Homey was still able to change color and brightness.

The distance between Homey Pro and the fixture is 25 feet.

Any new insight?
