I am beed using the chromcast app for several years without any issue.
However lately all of my Google/Nest speakers are not able to be controlled in Homey, and will neither show up when i try to re-add them in the app. I have deleted them from the app, restarted them and such.
Strangely my Nest hubs (those with display) show up, and also some speaker groups as longs as they have a nest hub in it.
The “Cast a text to google” app works fine to make the nest speaker say something.
My home have not yet been upgraded to Gemini for home. Does anyone else also have this issue?
Have you already restarted the Chromecast app on Homey? I also have that issue sometimes and it’s resolved by a restart of the app
Yes, restarted it multiple times. Even restarted homey, no luck. Have not tried to uninstalled the app. Was manily wondering if other have same issue or not. I see that the app was updated for over 1 year ago, and i believe Google is doing some fundamentally changes as well for Gemini for home. ( I have opted in, but not received it yet)
Yes, but that only changes the voice feature. The casting feature (the Chromecast app on Homey uses the cast feature of the Google speakers to get data) is likely still the same as it has always been.
