Hi,
I have a ADAX Wifi 2 heater which I am controlling using a Homey Pro. In the original ADAX android app there is a feature that monitors the energy usage. After switching the control to Homey I get no updates on the energy usage. Is there someone that knows how I can get the energy (and power) data collected?
It is a 400W device, but I would like to know what power it draws and total the energy used over time.
Hope someone knows,
Marcel
Hi Marcel,
It’s best to contact the app developer by sending an email msg, as mentioned on the app page at the app store.
Workaround / quickest fix: add a power measuring smart socket, make sure it can handle 16A max.
I’ve a 1800W heatpump connected with a 16A smart socket.
With the Power by the Hour app, you can generate these kind of usage stats:
Peter,
Thanks, I wrote mail to the developer. An energysocket is not possible as the wall socket is place directly behind the heater, so an additional homewizard energysocket will not fit.
regards Marcel
Hi @Marcel_Heek,
Did you get any response about your question?
I have a couple of Gen3 radiators, but they only report power consumption. Sort of, because it seems to be reset in the middle of the day. Different time on both radiators.
Also, the energy page is reporting what the radiator is set as the max power, constantly. 800W below. Currently I need to remove it from energy since it only ruins the true reality.
Hi Staffan,
I never got any response. It would definitely be nice if the actual power consumption becomes available.
Met vriendelijke groet / with kind regards,
Marcel Heek
I just had an email conversation with Adax, and they said that they won’t look in to this. It’s not on their plan to update the app.
Sad to hear.
Thanks for asking and circling back the response. Sadly indeed.
