Wasted lots of time already because when working on advanced flows, every now and then the canvas suddenly goes blank and comes back with all changes lost!
Today in the morning, I had bad experience with single-tab and local user as well. I have no idea, why sometimes it works not so bad and sometimes not - I find no pattern at all.
Maybe that’s relevant information to share with Homey. Maybe the websocket connection allows one connection at maximum, or a local cache issue when more than one connection with my.homey.app is established?
I´m not sure, but since 1 hour or so, my web app is now on 1.15.1. Currently the performance seems to be pretty better than before. I have tested a little bit in between, but maybe a light on the end of the tunnel….
I have made support-case to Athom 17.2. (“request (147278)” including diagnostics report key ) and asked them to look details from this topic - got one email back, where browser type was asked (19.2.) and answered… after that not yet “solution”
Frankly, I am nur sure if my “more complex” advanced flows are fully executed any more.
I have an advanced flow using open weather to push the forecasts to 5 AWTRIX devices, and when running it manually with the flow visible on the screen, I cannot trace the flow progress. While that may only be a glitch in the matrix, I also realized that over the weekend the data is no longer being display on the AWTRIX devices, which they have been ever since (> 1 year).
Currently it seems, all flows were executed as they should. I have some complex advanced flows for the heat pump/heating.
But, as yesterday mentioned, in the office, with a Mac-Book and Chrome, the advanced flows performing well, also today. I didn´t test from home with the Mac-Book, just with my windows PC. For me, the issue is becoming more strange.
My complex advanced flows no longer work reliably. Even if I trigger them manually and should be able to watch the progress, they stall for >10s and - all of sudden - the flow is finished with any error or action being performed, as it should have been with a normally functioning flow.
I am suffering from this now for quite some time (>4 weeks), and my impression at first was that my Safari browser with more than 80 open tabs might be the issues, but as stated before: Edge with only one open tab - which used to work best (not okay or even good, just best) now fails…
In a bright moment, I realized when the flow editor runs “normal”:
that’s when I edit Pro 2019 flows!
Here it mainly seems to be a Pro 2026 issue.
Anyone with a Pro 2016-2019?
Another bright moment: I thought maybe the ‘local login’ is one of the causes.
But unfortunately, disabling it doesn’t make any difference.
Dito.
Press save, save, save until your finger is blue.
I’ve requested auto-save functionality a long time ago: nothing.
No, here I had all kinds of non-Homey tabs open.
The one-tab approach doesn’t seem to make a difference.
Can’t relate, everything works as programmed.
You’d best add for example Simple Log flow cards, to the triggers, conditions and actions; this way you can read back what exactly happened and when (to the millisecond), and all that’s not logged did not work.
Impression:
Yeah, I think it started somewhere in the last month of last year, but prior to that I splitted my network into 2 vLAN’s. So I assumed that could be very well the cause, or a cause, or related at least.
It was odd only the Flow editor had issues, everything else here runs fine.
Also, I got my pro 2026 around half December last year
I also have multiple VLANs on a pfSense firewall, Homey is on the IoT VLAN and the PC is on the main LAN. I did have some strange issues where Homey would randomly crash/stop responding but that was caused by my AP (it was on a channel that appearantly had lots of interference and somehow Homey couldn’t handle that). The crash issue appears to be fixed now, no other issues with the Flow editor.
