Feature Suggestion: Synchronized Time Markers and Time Interval Measurement in Homey Insights

Description

Would it be possible to add synchronized vertical time markers to the Homey Insights charts when viewed in a web browser?

When displaying multiple Insights charts simultaneously, it is currently difficult to accurately correlate events and measurements across different charts.

Proposed functionality

I would like to suggest the following functionality:

1. Synchronized vertical cursor

A vertical line that follows the mouse pointer across all visible Insights charts.

The cursor should be synchronized across all charts, so that moving the mouse over one chart displays the corresponding timestamp and measurement values in every other chart.

2. Fixed time markers

The ability to place and lock a vertical marker by clicking on a chart.

The marker should remain visible across all charts, even when the mouse pointer is moved elsewhere.

3. Multiple markers and time interval measurement

The ability to place multiple fixed markers, for example, Marker A and Marker B.

When two markers are placed, Homey should display:

  • Start time (Marker A)

  • Stop time (Marker B)

  • Elapsed time (Δt)

For example, this would allow users to accurately measure the runtime between two events.

4. Synchronization across all charts

All markers should be synchronized across the visible charts and use the same timestamp on the horizontal time axis.

This would allow users to compare the measurements of different devices and sensors at exactly the same moment.

5. Drag Insight grahic

Reordening the graphics, click and move them up/down to change the order of the Insight charts.

Benefits

This feature would significantly improve the analytical capabilities of Homey Insights.

It would be particularly useful for users monitoring complex systems such as heat pumps, energy management systems, HVAC installations, and other home automation applications.

A synchronized cursor combined with fixed time markers and elapsed-time measurement would turn Homey Insights into a much more powerful troubleshooting and analysis tool.

Would this functionality be something that could be considered for a future version of Homey Pro?
