Feature request: Matter Binding support (device-to-device control over Thread)

I use a Homey Pro with Matter-over-Thread devices and would like to request support for the Matter Binding cluster.

Use case: A Matter wall dimmer or remote should directly control Matter lights (on/off, level) without every command going through Homey Flows. Today this requires a Flow per device, adds hub latency and fails if Homey is busy or restarting.

Request:

  1. Let users create bindings from a Matter source device to one or more target devices or groups (UI in the device settings).
  2. Write the required Binding entries and Access Control List (ACL) entries on the target devices so the source is authorised to send commands.
  3. Support at least the On/Off and Level Control clusters, and keep bindings working when Homey is offline.

Why it matters: This is the Matter equivalent of Zigbee binding, which Zigbee2MQTT and ZHA already support. It gives lower latency, local resilience and less Flow clutter, and makes Matter-over-Thread a real replacement for Zigbee in this scenario.

Can you tell me whether this is on the roadmap, and which Matter version/features it depends on?
