Hello,
I have a 3-year-old baby, and I’m trying to minimize exposure to electromagnetic “waves” as much as possible in our house. For example, I switch off the Wi-Fi of my internet box every night.
My question is as follows: Since Homey Pro 2023 is a multi-protocol device, does it continuously emit signals from Z-Wave, Zigbee, Bluetooth, radio, Wi-Fi, etc., 24/7? Or does it only broadcast signals “on-demand,” meaning it sends or receives information only when I activate a scenario, such as turning on or off a light?
Thank you,
Gregory
To the best of my knowledge:
-
Z-Wave, Zigbee
No, not when it’s not used, but it will send (some) route and value updates when you have paired devices and (an) active mesh network(s).
-
Bluetooth
No, not when it’s not used, but it will send some value updates when you have paired devices
-
433MHz
No, only when a device is commanded
-
Wifi
Always active, for Homey Pro 2023, you could buy the ethernet dongle and turn off its wifi radio
But wifi operated devices connected to Homey still will be communicating with your wifi router (if active ofc.)
@ wireless experts, pls do feel free to correct
