This message comes up when I try to connect some TAPO devices:
Advice, anyone?
You have made too many requests to the TP-Link API. Maybe you have tried to log in too many times. Just wait up to 24 hours and the rate limit should be lifted automatically.
Hi, i am using the official Tapo app controlling 9 L510 lamps and 3 P115 plug switches,
After working for years, now the flows do not work and trying to repair get the following issue “errMessage”:“too many request”,“errCode”:-10104}
no, at least in my case waiting did not help, even with a week’s time between attempts. In the Windows-interface there is more trouble like an empty ‘New Devices Found’ popup. After removing my Tapo devices from Homey I could add them under iOS and after some additional server hick-up they were responsive for a short while and are now dysfunctional again.
Not the kind of reliable performance one would want …
Look at my post under Unable to add TAPO P110 plugs in homey - any tips?
I used the homey app on my PC and i used the TAPO app that uses local connections.
Make sure thats installed on your Homey.
I had to assign a static IP to the TAPO devices and then it seemed to discover them (after i provide what IP they were using) and add them to Homey.
Havent tested out if it works yet.
Regards,
Marco
