Hi,
Can Homey Pro connect with Wifi devices that are connect to another SSID than Itself?
In my case, I have different SSIDs in my network instead of a mesh network with the same SSID.
The IP range is the same and all the Wifi nodes are connected to the same switch.
That’s possible, as long as these connect to the same subnet, like you wrote.
I use 5 different SSIDs, no problem.
And in case you use vLANs, make sure both IP addresses are allowed to connect (firewall settings).

Thank you for the answer.
I am planning on using different vLANs in my new setup.
Wasn’t sure if Homey could see the other SSIDs when broadcasting
You would normally use Vlans to keep traffic separated between networks. IoT devices are known to become outdated leaving them vulnerable to attacks. It is normally a good id to create a separate vlan for you IoT network and a separate vlan for client devices and use firewall rules to prevent traffic between them to protect your client devices.
Every risk is relative of course, and many people just live with one network for all of their devices. But what’s the point of introducing vlans if you then completely open it up again?
I understand that sometimes this is unavoidable. For instance for multicast devices like smart speakers or other multimedia devices. But if you do open up traffic to specific devices, make sure you limit it to very specific ports and protocols to limit the risk.
