I have a Denon HEOS setup. I’ve got 4 speakers (2 stereo pairs) and my AV Receiver. All are seen by Homey using the official Denon HEOS app. However, there’s always one speaker unavailable since they are grouped as a stereo pair. Additionally, the app crashes all the time and all devices become unavailable and I have to restart the app constantly. Is anyone else experiencing this? Do I need to remove the unavailable speakers since Homey treats the stereo pair as one speaker to prevent the app from crashing? I have uninstalled then reinstalled the app.
I have already reported this to Athom. They are already investigating this.
Ahh cool! Thanks. I tried just removing the speakers that are unavailable because they are in a stereo pair and the app still crashes so that thought process doesn’t really change anything.
Same here. I’m already in contact with Athom about this. Happening every single day. @Barfcat2 I would recommend you to also get in touch with Athom about your issue. They said to me that it is known from their side and they should be working on a fix…. I really hope it’s fixed sooner than later since I have a lot of flows with my Heos receivers (Denon and Marantz)
What I did myself was to create flows and making sure my device has a seperate card and not in between different devices so when my devices becomes available when the app crashes, no other devices are involved. So make a different line when starting your flow to your Denon device so the rest of the flow stays workable.
Ahh yeah I only have one flow so far with my HEOS 5 speakers. Is there an action in the flow that if the speakers fail to work to reset the app and run again after a 45 second delay or something?
How do I get in touch with Athom to report it?
I have the same problem.
The Heos app will make every second contact with the internet. Homey blocks then the app after some time.
Send a crash repport to Homey and the try to fix it.
What helps by me is to disconnect the reciever from the internet till the buffer is empty. It will playing again for a couple of days.
