Contact/door sensors with reverse logic

Hi guys,

Need some recommendation here.

I’m looking for contact or door sensors that have a reverse logic function for my 2018 Homey Pro running on version 12.1.0. I know Aqara, Xiaomi and IKEA sensors have this function but they are not the most reliable in my stable of connected devices.

I searched and saw that @Peter_Kawa created a reversed switch which would show the opposite is the state of a device, but that is not going to help much as I’m using zone activity in my flows.

Here a few screenshots to show this function.

Currently, when I browse the App Library to look for devices, there is no way to see the advance settings so I cannot determine if this function is available. I have tried Aeotec, Tuya, SmartThings which all does not have reverse logic. I wonder if Athom would consider letting users see what the advance settings are before we purchase the device.

Would appreciate if someone can point me in the right direction. Thanks.

This sensor has it by itself by flipping a switch, see page 4.

Peculiar, because I always thought all contact sensors would provide for an “invert” setting. Because no one knows on what state (closed/open) users prefer to trigger the alarm?

I wondered why you think my workaround wouldn’t activate a zone.
I even use a virtual contact sensor to test zone activities (when I’m too lazy to open a certain door or window).

Like real contact sensors, you can disable/enably zone activity

I have a Fibaro door/windows sensor.

Maybe i missunderstand, but the aeotec and the fibaro door contacts have that funktion…
