Hello, after receiving a new router from my internet provider (Sunrise, in Switzerland), almost all my Fibaro FGR-223 Roller Shutter modules (Z-wave) have stopped working: they appear in the app but no longer respond to open and close commands. Some were still working initially, but gradually they too stopped responding. So, I first looked for what was different about the new router: the biggest difference is that IPv6 addresses are assigned and I can’t disable them. My Homey therefore has an IPv6 address. I tried reinstalling the old router, but it still doesn’t work, which is strange. Needless to say, I’m very frustrated because all my blinds are only controlled via Homey… I can no longer open or close them… Does anyone have any ideas on how to fix this? Thanks!
Hi Philipe,
Z-wave is unrelated to wifi.
But Homey and IPv6 possibly aren’t friends yet and the Fibaro app might be influenced by the “not installed” Homey bug.
Possibly the online “is app X installed or not” check mechanism has a hard time to reach Homey when IPv6 is enabled, at least that’s how I think it works.
Make sure to update to the latest Homey firmware
Thank you Peter.
The fact is that my homey has a IP V4 and is up to date (v 12.8.2).
I’m getting mad….
Probably you looked into this, but just to be sure: you gave the new router the same SSID name (Wifi name) as the old router? This helps your existing hardware to easy access your Wifi / internal and external network.
You’re right, I changed the ssid name when installing the new router. I’ll try to go back to the previous one. Let’s hope…
But anyway I don’t understand why is the Homey so dependent from the router. Shouldn’t it run by itself ?
Well, restoring the old ssid didn’t make my homey work better.
Sorry to hear
