I have just bought a Homey pro 23 and an Ethernet adapter. It connects to the WiFi on my UniFi network but doesn’t connect to the Ethernet. It is correctly connected with cable adapter to the power plug and homey connected on the side. There is light in the port of the switch but Homey is not recognized. And homeys says no Ethernet. Entered setup with no changed. The WiFi is not good despite good signal and homey goes often offline. How to proceed. I suspect the Ethernet adapter is bad
Is the Ethernet adapter the one from Athom/Homey?
If so, did you connect it correctly?: the long USB cable goes to your Homey, and the short to the power plug.
Yes. It is connected correctly like the picture. Well aware of that error
Does restarting your router help?
To rule out switch or connector issues: any other device connects successfully to that same cable and switch connector?
No i tried that includin following restart of the switch Homey was connected to and at last restart again of the Homey Pro
I tried several ports on the switch, but it was an excellent idea to test the actual port. I did that with my laptop and it worked properly. But not the Homey
That sounds strange indeed. As far as I know, there is nothing you need or can configure on your Homey itself to enable Ethernet. It should pick it up by itself when an Ethernet dongle/cable is connected.
