Hi ive purchased a Candeo “C-ZB-DM201-2G”. Which is a 2 channel dimmer module.
When i add this to Homey it only comes up as a Generic Zigbee device as it states "you dont have the app installed’, which i dont think is too much of an issue.
But the main problem is, there is only then (x1) controllable ouput via the app, when there should be (x2).
The onboard Homey zigbee driver is very limited. As you noticed, it doesn’t support dual dimmer devices.
What you can try: Install the Tuya Zigbee test version app (because Candeo probably is a Tuya whitelabel).
Next, follow this link: https://tools.developer.homey.app/tools/zigbee
and interview the device here; Lucky: the app recognises the dual dimmer Unlucky: if it makes no difference, you’d request for support for this particular device as explained here:
Ive spoken to Candeo recently and they said at this time they have no plans to develop with homey but are happy if someone in the community wants to develop an app. They suggested using the Hubitat driver as a starter - however thats groovy based so im not sure if that will work.
Is there anyone here who could and would be willing to develop the app?
Candeo offer tons of products so it would be good app to have
No luck. I spoke to Candeo, they are good. They have at this stage no plans at all to work with Homey.
My workaround is add them to Hue and then they go over to homey via matter.
Works a treat and I have 9 of them in my house, including the new rd1 two way dimmers
