I need a front door lock and am considering a replacement. I welcome any suggestions or experience with locks that look good and work well. Please…
Have you checked Athoms best buy guide?
It is not very helpful for American buyers. Who is going to send me Nuki lock to PR? Or a Danalock. They have Yale but those are thrash. Thank you!
I was just looking at yale for my fl house, as bestbuy is selling those. Yale is not good?
I have no experience with Yale smart devices, and I apologize for confusing you. I just read that many people complain about Homey not working with the Yale flagship smart lock models. Take that with a grain of salt because I do not know. They are probably good. It is a good company and a solid name.
I am using Yale Doorman for my front door since 3-4 years and never had any issues.
Some of my friends also use Yale Doorman and love them.
Only disadvantage is that you need to poll the lock from the Homey, no realtime update. I think the shortest poll time is 30 seconds.
I’m using the Tedee pro locks (3 pieces) and I really like them. Small, quiet en work until know flawless.
The only downside is that you to need order the bridge separately to make them WiFi enabled.
Then why you did not say so from the start? That was exactly what I was asking. it is not within the so-called best guides.
Tedee is not available in America, I believe.
Which doorman model works or is it all of them? I just read a few comments about people having trouble with some Yale locks.
I am on version 2. I do not know about v3 but it most likely works with Homey.
You need to google that. Check in Homey community forum.
