Buyin Homey Pro

Im interested in buying the homey-pro but due to so any devices I already have the homeassistent on my end (vm on proxmox cluster) uses almost 3.5 GB sometimes almost 4GB of RAM.
Due to the Homey Pro just having 2GB is there a way to upgrade the CM module inside to the 4GB model or other way like zram to “improve” the ram situation?

KInd regards,

Yep

Yea but this is not really supported. Is there a supported way from Homey itself to fix that issue?

No.

But is is hard to compare memory usage on totally different platforms like HA and Homey.

How many apps/brands are you planning to use?
I know, tough to look ahead, but it might give more of an idea than the current HA memory usage.

Also, is that 3.5/4GB of memory for the entire VM, or for HA alone? Because the latter seems excessive, my HA installation requires about 1GB for about 300 devices (3000 entities).

Its the whole VM, I am suing HomeAssistent OS (HAOS), so IDK but yea could be a “layer-8 Problem” in my case. IF Homey is working for you fine with your integrations I should be fine too. Im just scared that there is no head room / room for improvment there.

That 1GB is for Home Assistant, not for Homey.

Okay has someone a deployment like you have? with 3000 entities and 300 devices? I have 100 devices and arount 1200 enteties. I need someone who can tell me that the homey can manage that with apps and all.

I think any Homey Pro won’t have any problem with those numbers

My setup
I have these HA devices ‘installed’ @ Homey Pro 2019 (1GB RAM):

MQTT (incl Z2M) has this number of entities:

HA CPU & RAM (of course it runs way more than only MQTT):

Homey: The needed apps use this amounts of RAM :

(In general they use double on a Pro 23)
