I read a lot about the Homey bridge in satelitte modus but on the website there are some strange things.
As I know extending BLUETOOTH is not working in satellite modus. But screenshot below says something else for my idea.
I just want to know for sure. If I buy a bridge and install this in my poolhouse, would I be able to connect Homey with some bluetooth devices overthere.
For example I bought a Yinmik pool monitoring device. For Ph, Chloor, …
The device has an app on Homey (thanks to T. Hill, see topic here YINMIK Pool Monitor )
But my Homey Pro is too far away to get the bluetooth signal and info from the device.
So I want to add bridge closer and have good connection.
But you read a lot on this range issue here. But never a solution…
So for once… Is there somebody knowing if that coudl work or not ?
Bluetooth isn’t supported (yet?) on the bridge when in satellite mode, the bluetooth reported on the page you show is just from the main device.
And the app wil be a community app, so not supported with the bridge when you would use it with a Homey in the cloud.
If you want to stay in the Homey eco system, you’ll have to buy another (/older) Homey Pro and then add the device with HomeyLink (or Homesh) to your main Homey Pro.
Or ask Athom when (/if) they will support bluetooth for the bridge in satellite mode.
Another Homey Pro is expensive I think. Also I already bought antena for Ruuvi because of lossing the bluetooth signals from those temperature sensors. 200€…
But is there really no other way to extend bluetooth signals ? Or signal boosters ?
I will try Athom but I see a lot of people trying and seems Athom don’t listen
