I have a Bosch washing machine and installed the Bosch Home Connect app. I created a flow where the washing machine starts as soon as my solar panels are producing electricity. I have a flow with an ‘Then’-card ‘Start the selected program remotely’ (it’s in Dutch so the translation maybe different’). On by washing machine I select a program and select the option to start the program using the app (separate button on the display of the washing machine). As soon as my flow is triggered, nothing happens. Even if I use the Bosch Home Connect app on my phone, I cannot start the machine remotely. When I lookup this issue on the internet, I see articles where they state that this is not possible.
Does anyone have this working in their house?
What is the exact device (type) (washing machine) you are trying to start via app?
Well according to this page Home Connect should work. It has some reviews saying it can be controlled remotely, so that’s positive.
I think as long as the app itself isn’t starting the machine, we shouldn’t yet focus on Homey flows not starting the machine. I have no experience with the app. But Bosch offers these support pages:
If you are also equipped with a HomeWizard P1, I would recommend using a HomeWizard Sun Task."
After a reset of the Bosch Home Connect app, I was able to start my Bosch dryer via the Home Connect app. However, even after removing and adding the dryer in Homey, I wasn’t able to start the dryer via Homey. The same for the washing machine..
Great! One step done 
In this topic (dutch) I read that the app is known for frequently loosing it’s connection. A restart of the app temporarily solves the issues.
So if it works after a restart of the app, I would recommend to contact the developer.
As a workaround restart the app daily (or more often). Or use the error flow (assuming it’s causing an error if it’s not responding) to restart the app and start this flow again. Something like this:
