BAF Haiku

Is anyone willing to create an app to support Big Ass Fan’s Haiku app?

I’d like that too … I have 3 big ass haiku fans.

I have 2 fans and plan on buying more. This would be a welcome app.

Same here,

Would very much like an app for the Haiku with Senseme. Hope a developer will become interested.

BAF Haiku finally works on homey… Almost. BAF has introduced Matter support. So I was able to connect the fan to the homey. But it was registered as a light only, so i cannot command the Haiku fan. After connecting I cannot change the functionality of the device. Anybody any tips?

Homey doesn’t support fans over Matter, see this page for supported device types.

Thank you for the quick answer. I hope homey will support matter for fans soon. Would be awesome to unleash the full power of the Haiku fan on Homey. Allready very !

I’m not sure why fans aren’t supported, since they were added in Matter 1.2, and Athom says that Homey supports that version.

In any case, don’t assume that because we’re discussing it here it will be on Athom’s radar, since they officially only read “valuable” forum posts. You can make an official support request here: https://support.homey.app/hc/en-us/articles/360015784034-Submitting-a-support-request

By the looks of the link, Homey now supports fans however I am having troubles connecting my new Haiku BAFs to my new Homey Pro (2023).

I have the fans operational in the BAF native app, they are connected to Apple Home via Matter over wifi, I have them added to my Home Assistant via the Hass integration but can not add them to Homey Pro.

I have turned on pairing mode in Apple Home, copied the code, gone to Homey, selected Add Device, selected via iOS, chose the fan, inserted the code, then waited but there was a failed attempt.

I’ve tried everything, different wifi networks, different iPhones/iPads, removed the fan from Hass, removed the fan from Apple Home but everything has failed.

Any suggestions out there?
