When designing a flow using the “ask for confirmation” card, you have to specify the person you want the question send to. But I would like for the option to send it to the person that started the flow in the first place. So when you use the ‘start’ button to start a flow, it could contain the information of the person starting the flow, so that this information could then be used in the “ask for confirmation” card. Maybe with a failsafe option when the information is missing, it sends it to a chosen person.
An extra nice option would be to be able to send the question to the person that’s at home, or away from home. Maybe with a possibility to configure the order of what person gets the question when more people are home/away.
Your last part is already possible.
The arrival card has a tag.
but linking a person to an action would be cool.
Frits turns on airco, ask frits: it is 15 degrees outside, should I really turn on the airco?
Basically add a tag with the content username to a card.
I’m not 100% sure, but I think the following topic could help with the first part of your question : Who started the flow.
Perhaps @Peter_Kawa can help if it is not working or if you have questions about the solution.
It looks like a good workaround. But it also looks very complex, for something that maybe shouldn’t be.
Agreed, I honestly don’t know why there’s no default flowcards available on this subject.
True it is more of a workaround, I did not saw correctly in which topic this was posted
So I was not aware it was not a request for help but to put in a suggestion
So yes i agree it would be great if this is default when someone starts the flow
I’ve found a number of Flow cards that don’t have the Tag option for the value, so you can only enter a fixed value. Things like Delay, why can’t you specify a Number Tag so you can vary the Delay depending on other inputs/events. And possibly more complicated due to format, but Time trigger cards also. It’s not even consistent, because Alarms trigger cards do have the option of using a number Tag for time delay.
And Flow Then cards for Logic, there is one to create a text tag from specified text, but there isn’t one to create a Number Tag from a number. Why is that? (I could have used that today
)

The lack of consistency is a bit frustrating.
