Aqara Dimmer Switch H2 EU with Homey Pro (no Aqara Hub)

I see the Aqara Dimmer Switch H2 EU can be connected the the Homey Pro direct without the need of a Aqara Hub.

Does anyone have experience using the H2 direct to Homey Pro.

By default the H2 is in Thread Mode. Is this ok in the real world? Should the H2 be switched to Zigbee?

From what I read here, it should be possible to add it as Matter device (if Matter certified).
To enable zigbee you’ll need an Aqara hub
